Why is it that none of Stans' former players have anything to do with our program now?

Practice on selection sunday when you have no idea where you are going or who you are playing. I can guarantee you that no teams practiced Sunday. Hell, Callipari said that they would not practice until today.

I am offended that not only did most (not all) of our players gave up but it appears Stans did as well. If he is not gone in the next couple days I will be shocked.

Watching the game somewhere in the 1st OT. Stans calls a TO & as they are in the huddle he says something (can't make it out someone's head is in the way) but immediately Bryant starts clapping his hands violently screaming "don't 17ing call me out! Ain't NOBODY playing defense!" It was a microcosim of our season!

@matthewcstevens: Brian Bryant admitted after tonight's game Mississippi State did not practice from their loss Thurs. night in SEC Tournament to Monday a.m.

@matthewcstevens: Bryant: "He said he'd let us know Sunday what we would do. We were sitting around, waiting on the text message."

and you never get contacted, then it's on the coach.

I am sure some assistant was supposed to let them know about practice but something should have been communicated if that was true.

I don't see the big deal about the not practicing iasue. I would think there weren't many teams in the entire country that practiced during that time span.

I'm not trying to take up for anybody one way or the other but there may have been some NCAA or SEC regulations that were in consideration. I know that in football, the times and number of days you can practice after the regular season depends on whether you are going to a bowl game or not. If you aren't going to a bowl game, you can't practice until the Spring Practice season starts. I don't know the regulations, especially for basketball, but it could have been that a team is not allowed to practice unless they have been selected for post-season play. Until the NIT selected us, we had not been selected for anything. I believe that in football, it is illegal by NCAA regulations to practice after the regular season and if you do, it can be a violation that brings sanctions and other punishments down on you. I'm not sure if this is the case in basketball or not - I'm just sayin' it could be.

And we didn't "know" we were playing Tuesday. I'm sure we were holding out hope that the committee was smoking crack. And even if we "knew" we were NIT bound, half of the games start on Wednesday. </p>

without watching any Umass film or finding anything out about their team (maybe he didn't anyway).

Bost just woke up the next morning and realized he'd made a HUGE mistake and they had to come up with some sort of semi-plausable story to try to get him reinstated. I still can't believe it worked.

You have the assistants start, you go watch a little film then join practice with a quick game-plan. At least your players will have some idea of what to expect.
Watch more film, then work on a few more things on Monday's practice.
Do you even think Stans had a game-plan? I really didn't see much last night, especially on defense..

But not practicing on Sunday isn't one of them.

Did it really look like he had a gameplan for any game (Outside of Kentucky) this year?

I care less what we did on Sunday, our season has been over for several games. Just giving you a hard time.
But if Stans told our players we would practice and then failed to inform them one way or another, then that just shows how little control and organization he has.
