I don't think this situation is a race thing but moreso a sign of the times especially with this particular guy whose been linked to steroid rumors since like high school. I think the re-vote is the AP's way of saying they're fed up with Steroids/PEDs in sports. I don't think Peppers and Merriman's situations were that big of a deal because you didn't have the top blown offthe whole Balco scandal or the Mitchell report in baseball at that time. To me, I'm more interested to see what the NFL does after this because the4game suspension without pay thing is really nothing more than a facade to make it seem like they actually police this stuff. While Cushing's not playing, the league will still be selling and making money off his merchandise, and he'll get his 4 games worth of pay back when his suspension is over, so Iwouldn't really call that punishment.We may as well face it, professional sports leagues....especially the NFL, make a living off guys who are big freakishly athletic human beings, so we shouldn't be shocked whennews about players using PEDs come to the surface.
