His time as a player overlaps with Mullen's time there. Pretty amazing he enrolled at 16.

I hope we get this guy as a QB coach. I think he'd be a good one.

Some of the guys who committed this weekend said that they spent some time with him on the telephone leading up to their commitment.

Don't know, he probably spoke to several and Jmar Smith mentioned he spoke to him in his interview. But there was only 2 commits so when you write "some of the guys who committed", its kind of a misleading statement. There was only 2 so "some" would be 1. But the context leads a reader to beleive it was more than 1. Not to mention Thomas had been planning to commit this weekend for a while. He had no bearing on his commitment other than introduction. So that would leave Linton, who was kind of a surprise commit. Just got the offer and committed the same day. He could have spoke to him, but Linton just mentioned talking to Mullen in his 247 interview. Johnson could have been the one to pursude Linton, I don't know. But if you have that information then you would have just stated he helped land Linton. Not trying to slam you, I just think you may have inadvertantly painted picture that he has come in and already landing commits on our first JR weekend. I see no evidence of that. I do think he will be a good recruiter in time once he gets going, at least on the coast if that will be his territory. He should transition NOLA just fine. And he has come in right off the bat building relationships with some of our targets.

Mr. Strike what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I didn't count the commitments, so maybe it was 1 and a kid we offered (a QB) also mentioned him. Wasn't trying to paint of a picture of him already landing prospects, but trying to confirm what the OP was getting at. He's 110% in the boat and it's a done deal. I imagine these kids talked to multiple coaches, so the fact that they talked to Johnson shouldn't mean that he alone grabbed the recruit. I'm sure he had nothing to do with it actually. They probably don't even know who the hell he is. They were what, 13 or 14 when he won the Sugar Bowl?
