Interesting that the morels clause suddenly becomes important the day after LSU got blown out by Texas A&M. If Im Kelly I say screw that. Pay me the $56M or I’ll see you in court.

My guess is Kellly doesn’t want whatever it is to see the light of day. Is it a $30 million dollar secret? That’s pretty crazy if it is.

We all pretty much thought that Saban level contracts were just ludicrous.

Just a couple years later we are about to see multiple contracts surpass his. This while Saban won multiple titles and is still the undisputed best coach that has recently led a college program. Coaches that have not sniffed so much as a championship game as the head coach are about to surpass Saban’s numbers.

UM is about to have to open that checkbook WIDE to keep Kiffin…. If they are even able to keep him…. That is going to have them paying 9 or 10 million a year more than we are. All the while they are going to have to commit possibly more to NIL. And all of their fans absolutely believe they can without a sweat. The way they talk they should have been able to try to lure Saban away from Alabama like Texas tried to.

This new college game is on a course that is ripe for collapse.

Dellenger says $27M, not $20M & no mention of morals. And the $27M is probably up front, not spread over 9 years with a mitigation & offset clause. If he invests decently, he’ll wind up with more this way even if he doesn’t take another job.
