Ryan Day to ND. Matt Campbell to OSU. Luke Fickell to OU. Dan Mullen to ISU. Urban Meyer to Cincy. Bill Belichek to VaTech. Bill O’Brien to Duke. Lou Holtz to Temole.
Nothing would surprise me at this point. It blows my mind that a coach who hasn't won any FBS championships in college will be getting a higher salary than a coach who has won six Super Bowls. Belichick will be demanding a renegotiation.

Is it easier to win a national championship at LSU than Notre Dame? All you have to do at LSU to get in the playoff is win the SEC, or maybe have your only loss be a close one in the SEC championship. Easy, right? At ND you probably have an easier schedule and are more likely to be 12-0 or 11-1, but you need chaos to get in the invitational.

It seems like an odd move. That said, I'm assuming LSU dropped a bank vault off at Kelley's house.

I thought Lincoln Riley was settled in his little house on the prairie .

So how could Kelly's Notre Dame tenure, literally just a couple months after Kelly broke Knute Rockne's all-time wins program for the hallowed program, end so abruptly?

Again, it revolves back to what sources with intimate knowledge of the situation describe as Kelly's adamant approach to fight for improved facilities for Notre Dame student-athletes – and specifically Kelly's football players.

At central issue was Kelly's desire to see the program's Guglielmino Athletics Complex renovated to include an enhanced nutrition and training center for student-athletes, as well as a players' lounge.

Per sources briefed on Kelly's wishes to remain at Notre Dame, they said Kelly had not asked for additional money to his own salary in his conversations with veteran Irish athletics director Jack Swarbrick.

Hey guys, I think it’s official, LSU offered Brian Kelly 15 million per year and he accepted. With salaries like this college football is slowly spiraling out of control!!

I’d replace slowly spiraling with rapidly accelerating out of control. USC and LSU breaking the bank. Heck Franklin at half price might be a bargain after this silly season. Does sexton represent Kelly and Riley?

all of a sudden CJF seems like a bargain,

unless he has an escalator clause he won't be in the top 15-20 highest paid coaches 🤑

Well, I have to say that I'm shocked about Kelly to LSU. He couldn't have been their first choice. He's won a lot of games but no titles and no major bowls.

I don't get it. Of course, with the $$$ being talked about any coach would take that.

$15 million a year? That is crazy.
It’s been out of control for a while but, if true, they’ve now officially jumped the shark.

There's no way to defend that and the minute LSU loses a game, much less 2, Kelly is going to be under a ton of heat from the LSU fan base.

Wow, not a shot at James, but he was up against some stiff competition for the LSU and USC jobs. Those jobs weren’t his for the taking.

Isn‘t there a phrase that it’s not the ones your hearing about, it’s the ones your not hearing about that are in the running?

I read a report that Kelly was pushing for facilities improvements at ND.

Where‘s all the gratuitous second tier stepping stone school talk from the media for ND and OK? Still so many haters in the media that are still jealous of Joe so they take it out on PSU.

LOL @ facilities. The boogeyman every HC sicks on their administration to get more money. ND is in the top ten, potentially poised for a CFP birth, and has the #4 recruiting class for 22 and #2 class for 23.
Facilities is bullsh*t - he wants to be paid.
