1. Discipline
2. Winner everywhere he's been
3. Good offense
4. Good recruiter

He's my #1. He was my #1 even when Petersen was still an early pipe dream (due to the fact that I just can't see Petersen dealing with the massive cultural shift from pasty white potato-ville to fatback, ms).

What say you?

Auburn is likely just a few more hours away from an opening. We have GOT to get down and dirty with one of these top tier coaches QUICK.

That's the only drawback, whether he can win with his own players.

I see him as a very long shot however. I have heard his name thrown around for the Notre Dame job, maybe next year if not this. I think his team is set up for a good run next year, and wouldn't be surprised if he stayed at Cincy one more year then moved to a bigtime gig.

but I can hope. It's not like we have f'n LT running things now.

I'm resigned that we will probably end up with Gary Patterson. And I'm OK with that.

He would be 1A or 1B but you have to wonder why he would turn down his alma mater to come to state. Patterson, Petersen, and Kelly are the top three candidates and you have been lucky that UT and Clemson decided not to pursue them but that doesn't mean they would come to state (at least i hope not).

To be fair, you could've said the same thing about Urban Meyer in 2005 when Florida hired him. He had been at Bowling Green 2 years and Utah 2 years, so he never was around long enough to win with his own guys.

He's born and raised in Mass. He's lived his entire life in the north. I just don't see him competing with these good old boys.

I do, however, like Graham. I think he would definitely fit in and he brings some pretty damn good assistants.

and there were TV ads trying to sell the extra tickets they had left for the last home game that would win the Big East outright, so fan support might be an issue. And the impressive suckitude of the Bengals was still a hotter topic locally.

....and we won't be getting him. He reportedly turned down UT. Call me a wet blanket if you want. Where is Three Putt when you need him?
