First half for the Springers was weird. Two of our most dominant players were out for the 1st half. DJ Anderson (LB/RB, transfer from Godwin) paperwork apparently isn't straight yet. He didn't play. KC Hinton (LB/RB) cut his hand in warm ups and had to go to the hospital for stitches. He returned and played the second half.
HS started strong with 13-0 1st qtr lead.. Second qtr kinda looked like we were just going through the motions and BP scored twice making it 13-12. HS scored another td just before halftime to make it 19-12.... Second half.... The Springer team I'm familiar with showed up with KC back. HS outscored BP 33-0 from that point for a 51-12 win. There were so many holding penalties called in this game, it got right down rediculous. Game didn't end til after 10pm. HS had 4 kickoff returns for TD's called back for holding. There were 3 other long runs from scrimmage for td's called back for holding too! Without that, it would have been real ugly!!!!! We might have score 80-90 points.
HS qb was strong!! BP had do answer for our offense in the second half and couldn't move the ball at all in the second half as if they had run into a brick wall.
