As expected, with the big 10 day layoff we were rusty coming out of the gate tonight.
Luckily our defense continues to be solid. I like how well we played our 50 defense tonight.

Free throws were much improved which should make many posters here satisfied going forward. I cringed when Zion hit his head on the backboard. What a gifted player we get to root for each game.

Blocked Shots (14) It was a block party tonight!

Jack White remains a steady presence for us. Did anyone see him shove RJ on that defensive possession out to the perimeter. He may not be a starter, but he's definitely Italy a leader.

RJ - a lot of people here don't like the number of shots he takes, but tonight shows you how valuable he is and how confident he is in his game. To shoot so poorly to start and then to shoot himself right back to a solid percentage was outstanding.

TRE - once again he was great applying on ball pressure. So valuable!

Cam - you can see he's close. The light is getting brighter.

Javin - confidence growing

Zion - beast

Bolden - great body language

Reserves - competing.

Well men, it's on to TEXAS TECH Thursday. Their number 1 defense vs our offense. It should be a great game. Well, I know this was a brief write up, but I have to hit the AAU circuit early in the am. By the way, we had a few dinks, 9 blown assists, 12 blown ops, 4 missed high-fives, and a partridge in a pair tree.

Signed,
Guru Harry (make my day)

I cringed a little bit when Zion hit the floor after that dunk, for a microsecond I thought he was going to be slow getting up but he he popped right up like it was nothing

Boy did you ever open the door Dukesince91. Can we expect this report after every game. LOL OFC
Heck no. Our fans are a helluva a lot smarter than what's over there at Tarhole Radar. Y'all don't need anyone telling you what you saw in the game. Just poking fun at Guru Gary.

This can't be a true stats-n-stuff without harping on the officials a little.

I'm always on the fence when it comes to being rusty or being well rested. If we had made some of those wide-open looks early then people would have said the latter. I just thought we missed shots early, then it turned into standing around. You could see the confidence was shaken a bit. I think the missed shots made our offense choppy.

There has to be a couple games where we blame Knfor not calling a timeout at critical moments like before a blown layup or assist.

Thing to me is how much room for growth this team still has. Cam's shot is mostly off lately. He also hasn't figured out when to attack the rim and when to pull up. He has so much more in him than he is showing. Tre's 3 ball off/inconsistent. Alex, Bolden, Jav, and Goldwire should all improve as the year goes on, especially in the confidence fepartment. This team is very good right now with a ton of upside!
