Granted both are long shots but the RU recruiting staff could use some NFL rizz.

Battaglia has a board role with the school which sounds ceremonial so maybe he’d be interested in returning to the field as a coach, on a practice field named after him.

Clark Harris didn’t play at all this past season so maybe it’s a silent retirement and he’s ready for the next phase of his life. He implicitly has a lot of techniques he could pass on to the TE room. Moreover he can tell recruits about hanging out with Joey B and Jammar.

Harris could also coach the long snappers. :)

Maybe Mario Cristóbal wants back as he was a TE at Miami and worked with Greg. (kidding of course).

Harris had a serious injury. He hasn't played since Sept 2022 but as far as I know never said he was retiring.

2 guys that have given no indication that they want to coach. Much less have coached. And Ru is going make them coaches at the highest level outside of the NFL. What could go wrong?
