lol no. Hell no.

[thatsbaseball]

I wish him the very very best....but no.

He already is our coach. There is no difference between him and Howland. Both have credibility for things that happened 12-15 years ago. Both have accomplished little since. They bring in pretty good talent but underachieve with it. Same guy.

[DesotoCountyDawg]

Hell no.

Sign him up.

No need to go back to that. It's obvious that trying to recruit all these high profile players from all over doesn't work for us. We need to go back to the Richard Williams days - same type of recrootin' that Mullen did. Just roll with the MS guys, and the leftovers from surrounding states. Mine the JUCOs and transfer market. Ebb and flow with that.

I don't know who the right coach is for that. Howland and Stans are kinda offshoots of it I guess, same type of coach, better than average recruiter, but not a whole lot of discipline. I certainly don't see how we can fire him, just like we shouldn't have really fired Stans, at least not at that time.

Kermit was probably the guy we needed, truth be known.

Hard Pass.

Bringing Stansbury back would be the basketball equivalent of Polk 2.0

It seems whats trending is criticism of this idea.

We need a basketball team, Not a wrestling promotion! How do folks forget the weekly drama.

And generational change.

We likely need someone who understands this generation of athletes. There are good, young coaches out there. Also, give the guy at South Alabama a look.

If we could get early 2000’s Bury I’d be ok. Problem is we will get late 2000’s Bury or worse. The game changed in the mid 2000’s to smaller players, and outside shooting. He tried to adjust, but never could put it together.
