He was more important than Lee, if I had to pick one to return. We now have depth in the backcourt and can rotate 3 guards at 2 positions, giving them good minutes. Our frontcourt was fine as is, IMO. We finally have true options at the 3-spot, keeping our 4's and 5's playing their true positions.

Briscoe will bring some leadership, lots of defense, and hustle. You can never have enough of that. Duke may be #1, but Briscoe back, I'm taking Kentucky all day.

Briscoe coming back also helps Fox and Monk prepare for the transition from H.S to college. They have never had a 6'3 210 strong quick elite defender guarding them daily so that will help them more than most freshman guards since neither will see a player as good on defense and with that size and strength in a real game. Also helps their defense as far as stopping guards from getting in the paint since Briscoe has sick handles and is strong/quick as far as getting to the basket

I'm happy. I don't see how a ten point a game guy (last season) doesn't crack the starting line up. But it means we start three guards again Bam and one of our wing bigs down low.

Briscoe needs to live at the free throw line and behind the arc this summer.

He needs to set goals (a certain number of makes every day) and each week of summer increase the number.

He needs to force himself to stay in the gym putting up shots and more importantly making shots.
