Told yah in my last post.. we"re going to trade an actual Arms dealer because this person is a ***** female WNBA player and we need to virtual signal at every chance we can.

As was said earlier, the trade is for the other American. Griner is being included because of her high profile.

And why do I get these sense that even if this trade is really for the other american... that this really never gets done if not for BG?

I 100% agree that what she did was not a big deal, and Russia has dumb laws.. but I also know, and said, that this is far from the first time an athlete has been arrested and detained for breaking a foreign law.
Jeff Harper, who no one even knows of, spent like a year detained in China. And he only got out cause I believe they just let him out. There are several others too, but I forget their names.. why? Because no one made a big deal out of them.

If it was important now, than it was important back then. Sounds like it wasn't a big deal for either of these two to be traded, likely because one is a freaking arms dealer.
No, I would not trade an arms dealer BACK to the country we are basically at a tipping point with.. so we can get back a ***** WNBA player. I mean, Russia is getting back something useful for them.. and were getting back someone who hates the US.. The U.S. loses twice.. Maybe if Russia throws in a few million or something..
