In this early matchup between (3-0) undefeated teams, Broad Run proved the better. John Champe came out ahead in its last game. Did they get too cocky steamrollering Heritage 43-7 last week? John Champe WAS ranked 22nd in the state.

I saw this one. Broad Run is a good team. Champe threw interceptions on their first two possessions, dug themselves a 20-0 hole, and couldn't come all the way back. BR's offensive line is not that big but was very effective. Both teams had short kickoffs so there was great field position for the offenses all night. Both teams hurt themselves badly with penalties.
