I was upset with Brooks at the end of the LSU game and then especially after Ark but he puts up decent numbers. I believe he tries to be the man and forces it especially at the end, He needs to chill and play a secondary roll. Unfortunately we do not have that go to guy besides Oscar and since he is not a ball handler and is the center of focus it limits him. Tyty could be but his injuries are limiting him in the development into that role. Wheeler does not have the ability and Grady seems scared. All the pieces were there for winning the SEC and being a #1 Seed if it had not been for injuries to C.J and TyTy.

- Wheeler shooting 3's is just a tad better shot than Brooks. (25 to 30% respectively) The fact he banked one in is 99% lucky and proves him shooting them is a bad idea and should be looked down upon at the same level of disdain. Wheeler has attempted 40 3's on the year and Brooks 25. Yet we go off on Brooks for shooting bad shots but the PG is a bigger problem IMO. Yet you've gone on for pages on Brooks rear end but never mention a peep when our 5'8 PG hoists up 13 shots.

- I didn't run the game to see if Brooks long 2's is earlier in shot clock....I can take your word for it. But I do see Wheeler jack up a few long 2's when teams go under the ball screen and again...you don't mention a peep about it. Wheeler is a 44% FG while Brooks is 48%FG.....so Brooks isn't a terrible shooter but I do agree I hate the long 2's stuff....but I have as much disdain for Wheeler's long 2's as well (to which you make no mention of it).

We'll run this season on....but I'm more concerned with Wheeler shooting too much in a big game than I am Brooks is what I don't see eye to eye on your rant is all I'm saying.
If you take those shots, you need to make them. Brooks did not, Wheeler did and I was ecstatic to see at least one 3 go down on Saturday and I didn’t care how it went in, we needed it.

Also, when Wheeler shot that 3, he had no other options and the shot clock was very low, so I don't get why you keep bringing that up.

The 19 footer is such a dumb shot. Take 1 step back and you get a 3 pointer. I will take a wide open 3 over an open 19 footer every time.

Brooks and Wheeler are good from 10' and in, that’s it. If either of them takes a 19 footer, they need to do it in the right circumstances.

Brooks takes it because he’s open and he doesn't give a **** about time, score and situation. That’s the problem in my opinion. His shots were ill timed and they shredded the momentum we had at the time.

That is why I'm talking about Brooks and not Wheeler. I've said this multiple times now.

Yeah should be super easy to get the best shooter in the arena a 3. Nobody would ever expect that.
Every team we play has no problem getting their best shooters open shots.

Heck, we have a guy go off on us every game and we have the 20th rated defense.

Notea went for 30, got whatever he wanted. Same with Pinson, same with Quinerly.

There is no reason we should ever see Grady only take 3 shots, that’s a failure all the way around.

I don't like anyone taking 18 footers, I think it's the worst shot in basketball.

The reason I'm not talking about Wheeler, is because he took his long range shots when the clock was low, Keion took his with a ton of time on the clock and it was just because he felt leather. He’s never seen a shot he doesn't like.

I had no problem with the wide open 3 pointer, the reward for hitting a 3 is so much higher than taking a long 2 pointer.

My problem with Brooks' long twos is he takes them at the wrong times and he rarely hits them.
I am so sick of people repeating this stupidity.

The 18-footer is NOT the WORST SHOT IN BASKETBALL. Not even close. If you're going by that 'chart' everybody's referencing, then it's the THIRD BEST shot on the list. But it's certainly not worse than a half court shot, or a full court shot, or a behind the back blindfolded shot, or a behind the backboard under the rim shot, or the underhanded shot with a man in your face. The wide open 18 foot jumper is a fairly decent shot.

You are smarter than this.

Brooks shoots when he's open. Nobody gives him credit when he steals the ball and goes coast to coast and lays it in, like he did against Arky. They just remember when he makes a mistake. There's such a level of visceral hatred that it blinds people from being objective toward him.

Yea true big men should never get stripped by guards, kinda like guards should never get blocked by big men. Surprised he's still on the team personally.
Strip? He put that **** in his face. Problem was Brooks played better than Toppin.

Stupidity? Oh okay, we're just going to have to agree to disagree.

If we were playing a shooting game, where you take nothing but 18-20 footers and I take 10 footers, or threes, I'm going to beat you every time. This is common sense.

If you have a guy that might only hit 10% of them, it's the worst shot he can take. It’s not an opinion, it's a fact.

Who's hitting 10% of long twos on this team?
