Kid can't shoot. Big, athletic, etc……..can't make a shot. Ingram to me is the much better player. Has length and can knock down shots. Need shooters. Duke will put Allen, Jones, and Kennard on the perimeter next season. All those guys can make shots.

We get Newman, Zimmy, and Ingram and we might be able to play with Duke. Gotta have shooters.

To me I'd love to get Brown. He will have a great year wherever he chooses. But, I'd rather have Ingram. Which won't happen imo. He would start at the 3 here. Dude will be a matchup nightmare with his ability to drive and make the outside shot. His shot is silky smooth.

Yeah of course he can score in high school, he's bigger and stronger than everyone. Not hard to put up numbers when you just over-power everyone to the basket and dunk. Gets into a game tonight with other future big time college players and does virtually nothing. Between this game and the McD's game he's missed about 9 out of 12 free throws. Ingram is the better prospect at the college level.

McD's game he goes 0/2 from three and 1/7 from the free throw line.

Is this a serious question? Kid is 6'10, can drive from the high post, and can knock down perimeter shots. Guy can pass, saw him lead the break one time tonight in the Hoop Summit, he can hammer dunks, and say again…….HE CAN SHOOT.

he's not 100%

WE have to remember these All-Star games are not the best when trying to rate players. I thought today that Newman, Brown, and Zimmerman only getting 16 minutes of playing timeis hard to show everything you have in these All-Star games. These All-Star games brings out some players that like to ball hog and take every shot possible even if he has 2 or 3 men defending him. That is what I really like about Briscoe today that he almost had double digits in Assists at 9 today and scored 9 today. He is another awesome player.
I didnt understand why the U.S Head Coach which is from Northern Ohio seemed to be playing Kennard, Trier, and Brunson at guards more than anyone else today. Brunson is a PG and Kennard and Trier are SG had 23 minutes of playing time while Newman, Brown, and Briscoe had 16 minutes of playing time. I was wanting to see more of Newman and Brown today on the court. They were of course the #2 and #3 players and seemed to get less playing time. Newman hit those huge two 3's and driving layup and cut the lead from 14-16 points to 6-8 points real quick and then I look up and he is out of the game. I would had him more on the Floor with Brown in that 4th quarter with 5 minutes left and trailing by 2.

He didn't bully any players tonight (future college players). So you are banking on him getting even bigger and stronger in college and relying on bullying to the basket and scoring? No thanks man. Would rather have a kid who can simply shoot over the defender or knock down open shots than someone who needs to just be bigger and stronger to score.

Was it the op who made the excellent spot on comparison of Davis=Henson? If so, you have my vote for rafters hof. I did like your feeble attempt of trying to play off of ups. As for brown, if we did land him I would be ok with it, he's number 2 overall for a reason.

I wasn't saying anything towards Kennard not balling it today and that he can't shoot. I was just saying that I would have liked to seen Newman get more playing time than 16 minutes. When Newman drained those two 3's from NBA 3 point Range and that one beautiful drive to the basket he had scored those 8 points quick. Then to see that he had been taken out of the game right after that was disappointing. With all the Brown and Newman hype and being #2 and #3 in the recruiting class I just thought we would have seen more of Newman and Brown today.

Ok I got it now.

I would say that US was down at the end of the game and needed some shots to go down. No way in hell I would have Brown in there. Kid can't shoot.

NBADraft.net & NBA DraftExpress has Brown as the #2 overall pick in the '16 draft. And he does nothing for you eh? Lay the crack pipe down and call 911. You're hallucinating.

I do prefer ingram over brown, but I would gladly accept brown if he comes to kentucky. We will be contenders with newman and ingram/brown as our wings, ulis and briscoe running pg and Alex, Sskal, Zimmerman, and Lee in frontcourt

What I saw was that neither Brown or Newman were getting back on D, giving up a lot of run-outs when they were in. Have only seen Brown today but if that is a typical game then I hope he goes somewhere else. He's not much of a player despite his athleticism .. can't shoot worth a lick from what I observed.

Didn't know we had so many talent evaluators on this board. Personally I think we should just let Calipari decide who we offer or don't offer.

This guy is a blatant duke Homer and you fools are falling for it.

Duke might lose 15 games next year. We could "pplay with duke" if we didn't add a single other player and skal came down with polio.

If you have followed recruiting for a couple of years, you should know that conclusions from 1 all star game must be taken with a grain of salt. The biggest mistake fans make when looking at high school players is expecting them to play like NBA 1st round draft choices in every all star game. Some of these youngsters have more going for them than others, but all are works in progress in 1 way or another. Andrew Wiggins looked like the world's greatest player in the Nike Hoops Summit, but has turned out to be an inconsequential college and NBA player. Devin Booker got nothing done in the all star games last year, and was badly outshown by Blackmon Jr. Now Booker may be a lottery pick, while Blackmon is wondering what went wrong. It's a team sport. The best teams have the best pieces and the smartest coaches. Brown is a great prospect because he has size, athleticism, and the ability to put the fall on the floor and finish. Next winter, Brown will be a nice player for someone. Maker has great size and instincts, but is still growing into his body. If he goes with the right program, Maker will be an important player next winter. Wynyard played less minutes than any other player and didn't do much in the NHS, but I saw his quick drop step and I know why Calipari wants him. Given another year, all these guys will be impressive. If Calipari offers a scholarship to a player, that should tell you all you need to know.

Don't want Brown. Seen him 4 times 2 all-star games and 2 times with his high school team, and he has not impressed me at any time. Bottom line he can't shoot. He reminds me of Shabazz that played at ucla. Let ucla have this non-shooting stiff too.

After seeing him play at the City of Palms in December I posted the following:
JAYLEN BROWN - Wheeler (Marietta, GA); 2015 SF; 6'-7"; 217; 5-Star; 247Sports rank 2; UK appears to be leading with Kansas next. Roy Williams was in attendance Saturday after his game vs Ohio St. in Chicago - 12/19/2014 beat Bentonville (AR) 61 - 40 - FG 10/16; 3's 0/3; FT 4/8; Reb 8; PF 0; TP 24; A 3; TO 6; Bk 3; Stl 4; Min 29:59 - Very impressive. Plays hard. Handles the ball really well. Looks for assists and passes well off the drive. Takes it
coast-to-coast with authority. Likes to drive and is strong to the hoop.
12/20/2014 beat Paul VI (Fairfax, VA) 55 - 52 - FG 7/13; 3's 0/2; FT 5/7; Reb 9; PF 3; TP 19; A 1; TO 7; Bk 1; Stl 3; Min 31:16 - Guarding 6'8" 230 lb Corey Manigault. Can stop & pop. Played out front and handles like a SF. Sees the court. Two bad passes on fast breaks trying to make things happen. Needs to be more careful handling the ball on breaks. Goes hard to the hoop. From the head of the circle, spin move and dunk. I really like this guy.
12/22/2014 beat Wesleyan Christian (High Point, NC) with Harry Giles 76 - 70 - FG 7/15; 3's 1/4; FT 13/13; Reb 11; PF 4; TP 28; A 3; TO 3; Bk 0; Stl 1; Min 29:24 - Two studs going at it! Giles is not quite in game shape after his injuries and was not as much of a force towards the end of the game. Jaylen just doesn't stop. His turnovers are from being aggressive, not
from carelessness. And he can shoot free throws!
12/23/2014 beat Montverde Academy (Montverde, FL) with Ben Simmons 72 - 65 - FG 6/10; 3's 2/2; FT 11/13; Reb 12; PF 5; TP 25; A 6; TO 3; Bk 1; Stl 1; Min 28:05 - Jaylen was the most impressive player at the City of Palms and the one I most want to see playing for UK next year. He is relentless. Great at sharing the ball. Twice he intercepted passes by the man he was guarding who had picked up his dribble and was just trying to pass to Simmons down low. Wheeler is the first team from Georgia to win the City of Palms and first public school to win since Niagara Falls (NY) in 2004.
Made All-Tournament Team and won Most Valuable Player Award

i am just not going to waste much time of the lunatics in this thread but simply put Brown will be a top 3 pick next year , Ingram a top 15 . Both would help us immensly and both are super high on UK . If i had a gun to my head i would take Ingram but it is looking more and more likely we end up with Brown and i am estatic about that as he has an NBA ready body now and just needs to work on skill. To say you would want either makes you look stupid , childish and more.

The OP once proclaimed that Ryan Mossakowski was going to sign with A&M out of JUCO and "LIGHT US UP!!!!" when we played A&M. Of course, he didn't realize that by the time UK had A&M on the schedule, any eligibility for Moss would be long gone. Of course, Moss never had an offer from ANY FBS school, and ended his career being the backup to a walk-on at an FCS Lamar program that was restarting their football program. The OP's sports takes are God awful, and suited for comedic value only.
