...because there would have to be a poll to establish a ranking if a team were to be considered "overrated".

Maybe it's like that poll that made Alabama national champions in 1941.

that pisses me off everytime i go to a game in Tuscaloosa and see that banner. if you going to have fake national championship banners than maybe we should put one up too.

People call coaches overrated all the time. There's not an official coach poll that those claims are based on.

However, it is rather lame that an NFL team's fans are chanting that. Almost as lame as a D-I school's fans chanting "Block that kick!" in unison. But I guess Vandy fans are new to this whole football thing.</p>

I hate that damn chant regardless of who is doing it. Basically the fans are diminishing their team's win. Isn't it better to beat a team that's highly rated? "Hey, that team we just beat was overrated because they lost to our sorry asses!!!" I guess if the chant was "Overranked" it would be better. Sorry for the rant. One of my pet peeves.
