He had a perfectly good scholarship offer from us and was pretty much guaranteed to be the starting PG and walked away from it. I don't think he even gave Ray a chance. I don't know what put him off about us, but whatever it was Ibet he wisheshe hadour scholarship offer back.

was that he was going to have to work his *** off on and off the court. He wanted to be handed everything like the last two teams we had. For all the folks who said we had a sorry S&C coach for basketball, you will soon start seeing the results of his being able to work. He basically was out of a job the past year because we didn't have a coach who would back him with the players. Most never showed for workouts and there was nothing he could do about it.<div>
</div><div>Can you imagine Mullen not backing Balis if a player didn't show for a workout? Thankfully those days are over in basketball as well.</div>

Whether he regrets not coming to MSU, no one knows.but Josh. I highly doubt he was scared to work his *** off as u say is the reason though. Kid is always working on his game with PJ at the gym. But if thats your opinion you can go with that. Josh is gone. We now have someone to take his place. No more need to be bashing on him in my opinion.

is that he and his posse are demanding money. It was no different when Stans went after him or what his crew is doing now. Ray don't play the money game and it looks like no one else is either.

Now if Gray is asking for more money than originally agreed to, screw him. Or if he's just asking for something he's not worth, screw him. But if Ray thinks he's going to recruit enough talent to win while being squeaky clean, I'm just not sure being the one clean team in the SEC (and probably one of a handful in any of the major conferences) is going to work out well for us.

The problem with handing out money is not the money.....it's the fact that a kid can say, "Workout? 17 that...I ain't working out. And don't forget....I got the NCAA on speed dial here and you gave me money."<div>

It sucked to watch, but it could get a lot worse, and MSU (or anybody else in the SEC) tried to recruit cleanly in basketball, it would.

I can see us trying to steer away from the most entitled head cases on the AAU circuits, but I can't imagine we would decide that we just won't compete in basketball anymore.

I think there are a ton of them out there that would be too stupid to even realize it
