He’s actually been a huge part of this surge. In the last 15 games he’s slashing .472/.561/.563, 13 games against SEC teams. OPS of 1.125.
He’s pulled his avg from .276 to .339 against almost exclusively SEC pitching.
But here’s the kicker. Across those 15 games, he has 20 RBI and 17 runs scored. 37 runs accounted for in 15 games. That’s insane efficiency and clutch-ness.
He really is just a better hitter lower in the lineup. Tempting to move a guy that hot outta the 6-hole. But that’s where he needs to stay.
