The HS kid from Nevada that we were talking about in a thread yesterday who hit a baseball 570 feet. They were talking about him on MLB Network, and they were saying that he may get his GED and play JUCO baseball next summer so that he can enter the MLB draft next year.

he would have to wait two years to go in the draft.

But yes, he could enter the draft next year if he does the GED and JUCO route.

I have no problem with it at all, I think he's good enough to do it. And I don't blame him- JUCO competition would be better than high school for him. I think it's unbelievable that he is good enough to do it.

570 feet? I thought it was 502 feet? If this sophomore kid in high school hit a ball 570 feet then he is the love child of Bill Brasky and Chuck Norris.

well that's a hell of a claim to make. I claimed some pretty wild stuff when I was 16 too. but hitting a baseball 30 feet short of two football fields wasn't one of them.
