you know the extent of what the football program is being punished for is that incoming freshmen were sleeping on the couches of current players so they could save money and still be in boise for summer school and summer workouts? so if that's the extent of the "golden boy" cheating, then i'd say he's still pretty golden.<div>
</div><div>most of the violations, some pretty egregious ones, that are the root of the LOIC are the minor sports involved, like women's tennis and track.</div>

They broke rules for a number of years and didn't report any of it, they let football players stay on campus for free (doesn't really matter where they slept). They are getting what they deserve, and probably less than they deserve considering the number of violations over the time period.

Boise regularly beats AQ teams, so the NCAA has to contrive a reason to punish it to perpetuate the lie that non-AQs can't compete.

So you are saying that Boise did not commit all of those violations over that period of time without reporting them? Why should Boise get a special set of rules just for them?
