When you face a guy that you can beat isn't a big deal, but when there's ONE guy you can't beat, and you have to face him in the Semis instead of the Finals, because they screwed up the seeds, that matters for NCAA seeding.
Ferrari injured and out of most of BT really hurt him in this formula. He did beat Fishback right? Anyway, how a rational group would look at that seed for a guy who had taken out all the top guys but Welsh before he was injured and say he isnt in 2-4 seed is crazy.
A one loss Angelo should be no lower than the 3 or 4 honestly. Put him as the 3/4 behind Mac as punishment as those 3 are 3 of the top 4 in the B10 and that really isn't debatable. The 8 is stupid, but if he knocks off Welsh in the quarters he should make the finals to face Mac more than likely.
This will be the case for PK if 174 stays the same. What is the difference in PK's NCAA seed if he gets 3rd at B10s vs 2nd?

Kennedy ducked Haines eliminating a chance for a Haines win which would have pushed Haines to #1 —and resulting in 2Haines/ 3 Kennedy -Huh

The whole handling of the Jordan Williams situation this season has been odd to me. On one hand he’s had some bad moments in matches no doubt. You also can’t deny his talent and giving VV3 all the easy matches and now having him be the post season rep at that weight is a head scratcher to me. The whole situation is just odd to me, because when Williams is right he’s clearly the better wrestler out of those two.
I can already hear MSU changing his calculus to 2 finalists and 5 top 8 in the Big 10 tournament is perfectly fine.
He’s going to have to go the Jason Tsirtis route and win em all in TBs

You want to make an argument that Minto is #3 and I think you can make a pretty good argument that he should be there. I don't see how you can make an argument that he should be #1 over Haines or even #2 over Kennedy.

Why? This has been months in the making, should be used to it by now. There was a time that you could expect Iowa guys to step up to the plate collectively and get after it. Not sure the optimism is there for this bunch however. No time like the present.
Pretty good chance there is a lot more going on behind the scenes. Maybe certain rules or "requirements" were broken? Once again, there is zero chance Brands is trying to score less points than his team is capable of. Some times there are things a coach has to do for the best interest of the team and I don't think Williams is one of those special cases who gets to make their own rules.
I use to give the benefit of the doubt like this, but with NIL how does one ever know what's going on behind the scenes?

Good way to make him go back in the portal and save money. Especially if they just don't like an attitude. which seems to me what going on. The money obviously is speculation but imo is fair to point out- could that ever happen?
These seeds are bad, but then again so is this Hawk team. It's gonna be rough watching the dancing monkeys that created this monstrosity run around like idiots on the side of the mat this post season.

Iowa wrestling use to be about winning individual and team National Championships, now its team being a top 5 and individual possible All American. You get what you earn

He's not big as a 174, and really small as a 184.
I know he's sacrificing for the team going 197, but fans really need to temper expectations here.
