Guessing Nebraska is going to keep it pretty vanilla and not show too much. So not sure if they will get the full preview.I remember DiNardo saying at media day he thought the hype for Nebraska was overblown. It’ll be interesting if he sticks with that comment or back tracks a bit.

Delaney said at Big Ten Media day that the old BTN2GO format would be transferred under the FoxSportsGo app. I haven’t tried it yet but it was something along those lines.BTN got rid of their free app? Subscription only now?
Yep, worthless now.BTN got rid of their free app? Subscription only now?
I can't believe anyone would care what he says. One year he talked about multiple players that weren't even on the roster anymore. If DiNardo actually knew anything about football, he'd still be coaching.

Saw a tweet that it’s the worst returning record to be in the preseason top 25 since 3-8 Alabama in 2001. They went 7-5 but it was a much tougher schedule.Only team in top 25 with a losing record from last year. We coming!! GBR

I want to hear more about Chinander calling everyone a turd.
Not defending DiNardo, don't really know the guy. He probably knows more about football than everyone combined in this board. Just because he gets some names wrong or says something we don't agree with, doesn't make him a fool. If that were the case, what would everyone on the board be?
I'll also defend the guy somewhat because I sympathize for ANY college or nfl media-type who has to come up with something to fill the hours and hours of preseason coverage this time of year. I can barely stomach any of it, it's hard to come up with anything meaningful and it's all just blah, blah, blah talking points. I wish I could get the three minutes of my life back that I used to read Sipple's season prediction article last week. Not defending DiNardo, don't really know the guy. OMG, we got the all-knowing guru DiNardo to change his take on the Huskers. Do we deserve such an honor? Laughing

I guess it depends on your standards when it comes to football analysts. When they get names wrong, that's actually a biggie for me. It shows me they haven't done in-depth research and/or haven't taken the time to properly prepare their broadcast.
With DiNardo, you generally get basic talking points wrapped in non-committal coachspeak. And that's coming from a guy covering one conference with 14 teams, not all of college football. He's also often in the studio with the ability to do multiple takes, not broadcasting in real time. In short, he shouldn't eff up as much as he does.
But he's no fool, I agree. Undoubtedly he has a wealth of football knowledge. I've just never felt that viewers get to benefit much from it. He basically plays an aww shucks old-school "ball coach" with surface-level takes and heapin' helpin' of folksiness.
Ironically, if anything, he has a history of over-hyping NU in the B1G. And he's not even "hating" on us now. I just don't take him seriously because I don't get the impression that he takes his job all that seriously.

Its a practice. They assess personnel and how they feel about the team. Nothing to keep "vanilla" or show too much.Guessing Nebraska is going to keep it pretty vanilla and not show too much. So not sure if they will get the full preview.
