He is known for taking a young team with talent and shows them the ropes of how to play in the Big Leagues. However, after a few years his style wears thin and then he pisses everyone off and he gets fired. Rinse and repeat.
Buck of course built those great Yankee teams of the 90's, and he also helped build the Arizona Diamondbacks into a World Series winner. The Rangers followed a similar blue print, but didn't have the success that the Yankees and D-Backs did.
The Orioles have some good young talent- Adam Jones, Brian Matusz, Matt Weiters, and then they have Nick Markakis who is a very good veteran player.
They have a good history as a team- they can compete with even the Yankees and Red Sox if they will spend money and get some good players in there and build around what they have. They have done it before.
