Wrestling parents are the worst thoughI used to coach HS wrestling and if you ever have the chance, go to the state tourney. It is electric.
Ohhh, yeah they probably can be but with that said I coached HS wrestling at a school with no parents, so it was not so bad for me!Wrestling parents are the worst though
That’s one kid who can say with sincerity ‘my dad can beat up your dad’.Was that his son that won wrestling state championship in Class A 106 weight?
I’ve heard that Bud can be one of those not-so-good onesOhhh, yeah they probably can be but with that said I coached HS wrestling at a school with no parents, so it was not so bad for me!

Haven’t been since I was in high school and it was in Pershing. Crazy fun.I used to coach HS wrestling and if you ever have the chance, go to the state tourney. It is electric.
It was great when it was in Lincoln too.Haven’t been since I was in high school and it was in Pershing. Crazy fun.
Not even close. Wrestling parents are some of the best I have been around. Selected baseball parent are by far the worstWrestling parents are the worst though
All situational. I've seen a 9 year olds parents make their kid cry and belittle him because he lost to my kid at a wrestling tournament.. I've never personally seen that happen in baseball. But again all situational.. I think every sport has bad parents because they let their egos get in the way and they are trying to relive their "glory days" thru their children. It's sad honestlyNot even close. Wrestling parents are some of the best I have been around. Selected baseball parent are by far the worst
I can just tell you from my experiences in the sports that I have coached or that my close friends have coached. Not even close. Wrestling parents are some of the best I have been around. Selected baseball parent are by far the worst
I think the people out there like it being in OmahaIt was great when it was in Lincoln too.
When they moved it to Omaha the super fraidy-cats out in central and western NE lost their minds...but clearly it was the right choice.
I think they do now. At first they were crying about crime and getting stabbed.I think the people out there like it being in Omaha
I agree.Parent spend big money and a lot of time devoted to club/select sports and expect a Roi. Most of the time there kids just suck. No matter how much money or experience and coaching the kids getI can just tell you from my experiences in the sports that I have coached or that my close friends have coached.
Super Crazy Parents: Any select/club sport but there are still tiers for that.
High School Sports:
Crazy Parents: Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball (Probably in that order but it can vary a bit)
Normal: Track, Cross Country (usually because the parents don't even know their kid is on the team), wrestling.
I have never done anything with swimming or diving (because I am black and we don't swim) but I can imagine parents being annoying because of how much time/money they have invested.
Football is a wildcard. It can go either way.
