It keeps saying take over team's finances, etc..

Is the team broke? Seems like the owners might be using the Dodgers to move shady money around or something.

I know the Dodgers have security concerns resulting from that Giants fan getting beaten. Apparently there is a gang that has sort of staked out Dodger stadium and they sort of run things.

are going through a messy divorce, and they are having some big time disagreements regarding how to handle splitting up the rights to the team.

What has happened in the meantime is the team has suffered in terms of trying to get good players because no one in their organization knows what is going to happen or what kind of a budget they are going to have.

This is why Joe Torre left them, why they got rid of Manny Ramirez even though he was their most popular player, and etc.

It is so bad that there was talk that they actually drafted a guy in the first round that a lot of people didn't think that they would sign just so that they could save money. They ended up signing that player, though.

If things keep going the way they are, they will eventually be very bad.

Despite the divorce situation, this seems to be beginning of the fall of Sports Mega Salaries.
The econcomy sucks, yet some Sports cost continue upward.

Selig has not approved a new longterm contract between team and Fox, and the
Times said the money was needed to make payroll.
