It was a sloppy game as it was everywhere in Virginia. Gap was in control the entire game, but came close to blowing it on several occasions. Both defenses were physical and played well. Gap's offense was predictably simple, which allowed PM to stay in the game.

PM's offense took some chances in the first half that proved to be unwise given the weather. Pitches, reverses, and other slow developing plays were ineffective in the mud. PM's RB #5 is a hard nosed north-south runner. Feeding him the ball on off tackle runs allowed them to start moving the ball consistently. Unfortunately, they had already dug themselves a 16 point hole.

PM has an easier schedule going forward and showed improvement from last week. Although they start 0-2, things will get better for the Blues. Gap has some very tough games ahead of them. Their offense has got to get better.

Fairly accurate synopsis Sir however, I must disagree with your statement that Gap controlled the ENTIRE game... I thought The Blues moved the ball pretty well but as you say, we had some unfortunate, undeveloped plays led to a few turnovers either by fumble or on downs..

Either way it was definitely a positive step for our kids. They are very capable and they refused to lay down when it would have been easy for them to do so.. The Gap was another tough test for us tonight and as tough as it was, I think it's what they needed. To be challenged, and they were.. Best of luck to you guys the rest of the season, and as always GO BLUES!!

I must add in that PM played without these following starters...QB, FB, RB, TE, CB, MLB, SS. That factors into any teams outcome. PM played BG very tough. That's all I will say, I don't want to offend anyone this week like I did last week.

I had heard the Rockbridge game had taken some guys out but it was still shocking to see all the guys on PM's sideline in street clothes and crutches.
