Bulldog club auto adding Excellence pledge?

I had been giving to the BI not a ridiculous amount, when the state excellence fund came about I stopped after discussion with Charlie. Was planning on giving to excellence fund but haven't contacted anyone saying I would. Received an email earlier this week saying they had transferred my BI donation to excellence fund and for 2015 it's 600$ more and 2026 it's doubled? I never gave anyone permission to do this? Anyone else seeing this?

I experienced something very similar. It's not a good look, in my opinion. At best, it is confusing. At worst, it is pushy to the point of turning me off from being involved altogether.

I'm disappointed in the execution. Convincing fans to shell out even more money to pay players who get into the portal every year is a tough sell, no matter what. You have to nail the presentation.

Yep. They added 50% to my pledge and put it in the excellence fund.

I think I am going to do what my wife does to me and the kids. I'm going to hold on to the money (haven't paid 2024's pledge yet) until Selmon shows me he can be responsible with it... Paying the coordinator of the 126th ranked defense $1 million a year is not being responsible. Maybe I should just save it until Selmon gets canned and give it to the new AD.

But what give them the right to just add a pledge to the excellence fund that was not discussed with me? It is a really bad look and not winning fans over. I can't believe they would do it and then increase the amount!!! The pledge they put in was for 2026 was double what I gave in 2024!

I can't argue with you. They did it horribly. The software is horrible. I called the Bulldog Club about it and offered suggestions on what they need to do to fix it.

That software makes it difficult to donate. That was the beauty of the Bulldog Initiative - it was so simple to give. Don't make it a pain for people to give you their money because they won't do it.

Not sure how a software issue is someone putting in a pledge in my name I didn't make? But agree with you on the BI Charlie was the only one stepping up to fill a monumental void that Cohen wouldn't address and it was much easier to deal with.

From what I understand, your Bulldog Initiative pledge was transferred to SEF. And what happened from that point on is not definitive outside its FUBAR.

This is why I don’t auto-draft donations and some bills.

I used to auto draft some of my bills. Looked at my bank account one day and it was on zero when there should have been around $12,000 in there. I looked and my water bill had auto drafted out for $15,000. It was a mistake at the water company, they told me somebody entered in my meter reading wrong and they wrote me a check to replace the money but still, I stopped auto drafting bills that day.

Yeah, I don't man. I just signed into my account, expecting it to be a mess, but they just carried over my 2024 BC pledge and then added a seemingly random $50 pledge in there for the Excellence Fund. Like DS was saying, I can only guess that they tried to use some formula to translate past BI contributions over to an Ex Fund pledge, but something clearly went haywire. Frustrating I know, but hopefully not intentional

Mine was like Bulldawg78. I had what seemed like 1.5 times contribution for 2026 and none of it made sense. You had no way of adjusting it without calling the Bulldog Club.

I know @8dog had issues as well.

Honestly they visited me asking for thoughts on boosters in the area that aren't participating. The Cristil Society is a long term deal, so it isn't all that.

I did ask if they would accept contributions in televisions before sending them your way.
