I got an email last week stating the Priority Deadline for away tickets was Friday 6/28. So as it goes I have missed the Priority Deadline. I have looked through the FAQ on Hailstate and did not find anything stating what the Priority Deadline is and what the significance is for me missing the deadline. Can anyone give me an overview on what the Priority Deadline is and why I should aim to order tickets beforehand?

I would suppose maybe seats are assigned based on rank? I guess if you order after the deadline you're back of the line. So maybe you get upper level tickets instead of lower level or something like that.

That's pretty much right ... sold according to rank before the priority deadline. After that it's first-come, first served regardless of priority. The BDC gives you plenty of time to order based on priority ranking. Doesn't matter much though ... "away" seats are just about always the worst in the stadium, unless you happen to be the university president ....

Yea I went to almost all road games last year, and sitting at the top of Bryant Denny or Tiger Stadium is not something I want to repeat. I do plan to make a road game or two this season and I was wondering if the priority deadline had any effect on sitting in the nosebleeds or not

That is why I quit ordering away game tickets. Two years ago at Auburn ordered our tickets with our season tickets and my family and another man and his son were the only MSU fans on our entire row. Was talking with the Auburn fans sitting next to me and he said that he got his tickets from Auburn ticket office and it was some that our school sent back. And I am in the middle of the BD donation ranking.
The last Away game I went to was at Bryant Denny, I guess in 2010. If you want to look it up, I was in the top row of section NN. Not terrible seats, but also not nearly as good as I have at DWS (I'm on the 40 there). Lots of MSU folks were in the upper decks though. My BDC rank is just over 1000.
