(Unofficially, of course) A few of us are going to start hitting up Brent's Drugs for lunch on Fridays of home games.

For those of you that don't know, Brent's was recently purchased by a fellow Bulldog and has been one of the better lunch spots in Jackson for more than 50 years. No official word on whether Winston Churchill ever had a Brent's Burger. It will be a great opportunity to eat one of the best burgers in the state, support a fellow State grad and talk about football rumors, Ninjas and pad level. If you have never been, this is a great excuse to check it out.

Hope to see some maroon shirts on Friday.

Brent's is on Duling Avenue in Fondren (next to McDade's).

thank goodness. i love their burgers and milkshakes, but i refused to eat there because of how big of an ole miss fan the owner was. to make matters worse, his kids went to prep.

The weekly lunch should be good for Brad, a bulldog, and good for fans that would like to get together and discuss the upcoming game weekend.

A little out of the way for me, but I might try to sneak in a long lunch on occasion.

Was a waitress back in the 70s,80s, and 90s that waited on different family generations. The Defunct Woodland Hills High School was across the street and you could blaze over after school for Lemon Aid and Hamburger /put it on your parents charge account and pocket that money for purchasing a Coors Party Ball .... Good Times

Whether he was an Ole Miss fan or not, I don't know. But his kids went to State. Unless I'm an ownership change behind.

While living in Jackson Brents was my favorite lunch spot in the whole city. Great burger, but my favorite was the egg and olive sandwich. My wife makes it here and people have never heard of it - but they have never heard of pimento and cheese here either.

If ever in Jackson on Friday I will see you there.

Hope to see everyone at Brent's to discuss who got a DUI last night, who got free tires this morning, who tore a hamstring in practice yesterday, who pulled a gun on campus....you know, the usual Friday-before-season-opener stuff.
