That should plant them squarely behind us. Losing to 161 RPI Houston will knock Memphis for a serious loop, and it's a bonus RPI move for us as well.
Didn't hurt that Bama beat SoCar today, either. Every West win helps.

feels that way. Me, I'm going to keep tracking the rest of the bubble teams until we're totally out.

Your 2nd favorite team has legitimately been to as many Final Fours as yours truly, Mississippi State...and have as many National Championships to boot. I'm not saying we're as good of a program as Tiger High, but I've also never compared us to freaking UCLA and UNC. If you can't make the Big Dance while playing a damn CUSA schedule - YOU ARE NOT AN ELITE PROGRAM. PERIOD!

You are right. Not an elite program? I hope you are joking. Pastner will have this team deep in the NCAA tourny next year and that pattern will continue.

I never said they were on the same level. I said even the elite programs have bad years. of course UNC and UCLA are better programs, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Memphis has been one of the top programs in the country over the last few years.

And I love how you constantly claim they are my second favorite team because I admit they are good. I couldn't care less whether they win or lose, I just know they bring in a ton of talent and usually have damn good teams. Admitting that doesn't make them my second favorite team. I do know I would trade their program with ours in a heart beat

Sometimes you let your hate of a team get in the way of any kind of logical discussion

brainwashes people there into believing the hype and buying into how awesome Tiger High is, when the simple fact of the matter is they have been to as many legitimate Final Fours as we have and have just as many Championships as well. Yes, they have most certainly had some good teams in the last couple of years, but their best team cheated. Their best player should never have been playing. And for what it's worth, I would trade programs with them too. Never said I wouldn't. They are just not as good as a lot of their fans think they are. Reminds me of Ole Miss football fans, except Tiger High has accomplished more lately than the rebs.

and he doesnt talk enough about the Tigers to brainwash anyone. Once all I said is over the last few years they have been one of the top programs in basketball. Cheating or not. i can assure you they arent the only ones cheating. See Kentucky this year

Maybe this time all of the recruits in this particular #1 class will all take their own ACT and pass it.

Now he's gone and they can't even make the Tourney playing a CUSA schedule. They were not elite before John Chaney's *****, they will not be after either.

Who is calling them elite? They've been a solid program through the years and had a very good run with Cal. Nothing more and nothing less.

This year for Memphis is pretty much a wash for me. Cal leaves and basically the entire incoming class bolts. If the new class coming in is as advertised, I guess you'll just have a ****** 2011 basketball season, because they will be good.
