I was done with him before last night and while it was a good win it's only one game. The need to start showing consistency and that is something that has plagued his teams since coming to IU.What are your thoughts on Archie Miller? As I said in another thread, I think beating Iowa may be a case of winning the battle but losing the war in that this win gives him a stronger case to return another year.
I see Miller struggling to win an NCAA tournament game at Indiana, and I think if Indiana actually wants to win a couple NCAA games in a season, they need to go in a different direction.
Honestly my biggest worry is that his teams rely so heavily on defense that it makes it difficult to recruit. In 2021 the top recruits (the type of recruits that can carry you deep into the tournament) don't want to play for defensive minded teams that have to win games in the 60s.
His teams play hard but to play really consistent basketball you have to be able to win games in different ways. So far they are too one dimensional.
