Lol. Just stop. Cal has never said he conspires with recruits against other schools, particularly one's he just left, to counter anything positive.
Does Cal use marketing and PR to benefit himself and his program? Sure! All coaches do.
Did Pope do the same with BYU when Chandler committed the same day news of their likely new coach started to leak?
What's even more idiotic but still ammusing is that no major news has come out of the Cal Ark thing other than big Z. And that was expected. Yet, we have had quite a bit of good news in the past week.
Orchestrating good news immediately after bad news is exactly what you want with PR. To get the news cycle off the bad news and on to something that makes people forget it in favor of the new shiny good news . and yet you think a man who took Public Relations in college wouldnt have learned that and use it as a coach? .
My honest question to burks in that case is just how dumb can you be? Cal isn’t going to play you and he will recruit over you.

That's entirely different than conspiring with players or assistant coaches or whoever else to impact UK or other schoolsz which is what people here seem to be accusing Cal of doing.
Of course you want to counter bad news with good news. But what bad news has Ark needed to counter to this point?
Not Arkansas bad news. Cal knows what a fragile beast the UK fan base is and knows what a blow to morale it is when bad news comes in succession . So we announce a new recruit and the fans get excited. That’s the time to have one of your old players announce his departure. The fan base moans.
He’s always calculated when to drop good news for us when he was the coach. He witnessed first hand how negative stuff affects to fans.
By your logic, Pope did the same thing with Chandler. He committed the same day news started to break about their coach.
I'm still trying to figure out what bad news we have gotten? Almost every coach and player that left, you all wanted to leave. Thiero is an exception and he announced before Cal left.
Shep hasn't announced. Perry stayed with UK, Burks hasn't announced. Everyone else was likely to leave and didn't really spoil anything with their announcements. Hell, most of them don't even appear to following Cal.
The only one that is literally sat down and talked with Pope before deciding and then made a quick decision and announcement after. It sure doesn't seem like a calculated announcement to ruin any monentum. If anything, him announcing quick should be a good thing. If he would have waited you all would just argue Cal was trying to screw UK by having him wait to push portal guys elsewhere.
You all are so consumed by Cal derangement syndrome you defy and sort of actual facts and logic.
