He said that a uniformed Alabama security guard was taunting our players and coaches after the game and Pointed at and touched Butch. Im guessing that what we heard in the background was Butch cussing the guy

Or had no power because I'm sure that if he did, he would have arrested Butch.

I hope the cop gets fired. Totally unprofessional on his part.

I agree with you, sounds like a rent a cop got a little uppity running his mouth and Butch was in no mood. I personally wish Wes Rea would have laid him out but he would have probably missed.**

but even if he was a security guard, you'd have to expect him to keep his mouth shut and act professional regardless of the outcome of the game. If he wants to be a fan and talk ****, he needs to buy his fat *** a ticket and sit in the stands or at least wait until he's away from our team. That's just stupid.

And there are police men and security officials in every dugout at most levels of baseball like MLB, college, and even in high school I see them hanging out around the dugout.

They're there to protect the team and provide security in case some dumbass fan tries to attack a player, or some fan tries to run on the field.

We do the same at MSU.

One thing they're not supposed to be doing is heckling the team, even if it is the opponent. Again, I hope the guy is fired.

Like in football when the head coach is escorted by a state trooper from their state.

I usually don't pay too much attention to the policeman and security at the ballgame- but in high school, the other team usually has some policemen from their hometown there, and in MLB it's usually city policemen. I can't recall seeing policemen from the opponents home state at Dudy-Noble.

"no video available at this time.."

Is that an iPad thing, or did they take it down?

"you're a disgrace, you're a disgrace, you ought to be fired!" I guess that was Butch. Whoever it was was hot

someone in the comments section of that video said the security guard has been fired. Obviously, not sure if there is any truth to that.

I went to our football game there in '08 and watched as some Bama fans threw trash on our players as they ran out of the tunnel. Two nearby security "officers" in crimson jackets just watched in apparent amusement, but then ejected several of our fans who only verbally retaliated a few seconds later. I've heard of several similar incidents but nothing like them at any other SEC school.
