4 years 4 NCAA's including a National Runner up last year. Young (34) with the most wins ever in a coaches first 4 years in the history of college basketball. I wonder if we could get this guy to come to State?

No. If he jumps why would he come here? His next move will be a Top 10 school like Thad Matta: Xavier to Ohio State

He was a few points away from winning a national title at his current job. Why would he want to leave for *any* other job?

he would have bolted already if he desperately wanted any major conference job. but he hasn't left butler because (1) he likes butler and is comfortable there, (2) can win and win big there, and (3) might only leave if/when a true elite program comes calling.<div>
</div><div>if you don't think programs like msu have repeatedly checked in with this guy and been quickly turned away, they it's time to get your head out of the sand. he hasn't even had a prolonged flirtation with another program. and it wasn't because other programs haven't been interested in him.</div>

Oregon and a few other schools went after him last year. If Oregon, with all the Nike money, couldn't get him, then he is not coming here.

Like others said, if he ever leaves Butler, he will move to a bigger school.

Good grief.

Some of you really amaze me with your level of stupidity when it comes to our basketball program.

It's definitely easier to make the NCAA playing against UIC, Wright State and Valpariso than it is against Florida and Kentucky. Then once you are in, you ride a couple of hot shooters to the final game. Not saying he isn't a decent/good coach, but just saying it's definitely to his benefit to stay at Butler where he can play UIC, Loyola, CSU, UWGB etc twice each year.<div>
</div><div>I saw him coach in person once this year, his team looked like crap and almost lost to Loyola (198 RPI). Guess we will see how they do in the tourney, I expect them to lose in the first round unless they somehow get a high seed, which they shouldn't based on RPI and record.

Dawg61 you keep starting threads as if Stans is going to be fired after this season. News Flash it aint happening, and even if it did there ain't no way in hell we could land Brad Stevens. You go from one extreme to another with your Stans replacement threads, Yesterday you started one saying we should look at the Mustached Wonder Blaine Taylor from Old Dominion, and today its Brad Stevens.

I'm just trying to spark conversation about who should/could/would be our next coach. I'm not saying I want Stansbury gone but with all the turmoil whose to say Bury won't pull an Urban and retire early. Seems like nobody has thought about who they want as the next coach but a lot are insisting Stansbury should be gone.

There have been multiple threads on this very topic. Marshall, Smart, Pierre, and C Martin have all been mentioned.
