Be sure to read the Olive Oil labels. If it is a mix of many diff countries it probably doesn't taste that great and they may have chemicals. Be sure it is just from 1 country like Italy.
About 4-months ago I started taking 1-1/2 tablespoons olive oil for its polyphenol content along with a tablespoon of organic lemon in the morning to help manage and control my large intestine which was damaged by a bacterial infection called C-diff two yrs ago. I 've been experimenting with the five below, the Australia Select is my favorite in this group. In order the maintain a high polyphenol content in the oil, the fruit should be cold pressed within a short time after harvest.

I think for cooking I'm trying Atlas and Kirkwood EVOO.

TheBigUglies comment about buying oil shipped from different countries to the processing location is so true.

Someone brought bagels and butter to the office this morning. I keep margarine in the house, but whipped butter was a nice change of pace. I might like it better than margarine. 🤔

Critical question is which do you use?

Details details, salted or unsalted butter? And don't you live in Joisey? It's budda, not butter.

I order this stuff from this place for my Foccacia bread. Ligurian region EVOO is a little bit sweeter then other regions. https://healthyitalia.com/collectio...taggiasca-extra-virgin-olive-oil-ponte-antico - I also order EVOO from various Tuscan wineries I have visited in my travels. A bit more pricey but makes everything taste better.

Has it helped?
Thank you for asking Nittering, it has. In the past, I was leery about leaving the house not knowing when a sudden extreme bowel event would happen, have about 10 minutes to find a port in the storm. Since I started the oil, it has given me a more defined 'dumping' schedule in the morning to allow me to leave the house for most of the day.

I'm 77, a few years ago the owner of our business asked if I would stay with the company and work from home a few days a week, the offer was too good to refuse. I've been with the company 40-yrs.

I take the oil w/lemon juice first in the morning and refrain from eating or coffee for about a half hour.
I also take a heaping teaspoon of Metamucil later in the day to help solidify the excrement a little.
