Who's going to step up out of conference? Michigan? Oklahoma? Oklahoma State? And an obligatory mention of Notre Dame for Lou Holtz?<div>
</div><div>You got Texas trying to put things back together, Oregon without LaMichael James, Penn State is a joke, USCw has a moron for a coach, West Virginia will finally answer the call to "play somebody!" when they move to the Big 12, Boise State will ***** about no being in the big game after winning 11 games against the little sisters of the poor and then losing to a halfway decent team, Kansas State? Florida State? Clemson? Hell no... whatever.... Did you see the Orange Bowl?.</div><div>
</div><div>You have Georgia that can cruise through the regular season and could luck up in Atlanta, USCe could be tough, Alabama and LSU will be.... well Alabama and LSU, and Arkansas could get hot especially if they decide to adopt a "60 minutes of hell"</div><div>
</div><div>I see a 7th and more pissed off Pac 10, big whatever number fans next year.</div>

LSU won't win another title as long as Les Miles is there (remember, they lucked into the BCS title game themselves with 2 losses). Auburn's a joke. So, it's not certain an SEC team can win it. Georgia will be much improved, and may be the best of the bunch. Carolina loses a few playmakers themselves. <div>
</div><div>Oregon has as much of a shot as anyone. I personally think USC will be right there in the running.</div><div>
</div><div>So sell.</div>

Be VERY wary of USC next year. I'm no Trojan fan but Barkley's a pretty damned good QB. And they have WR's like we always have good RB's. But with that said I can see them playing LSU next year or Oklahoma. But what killed LSU was terrible play calling, poor preparation & then u can look @ the QB. If they don't get that fixed, I see the streak ending @ 6. So right now...i say SELL.

oregon's ofense is gonna be better next year. they'll have better WRs (devon blackmon and tacoi sumler were 2 of the best in the '11 class and redshirted this year) and kenjon barner/DAT/tre carson will more than adequately fill in at RB. <div>
</div><div>oregon/usc going h2h twice next year (assuming pac 12 cg) will be pretty awesome.</div>

yeah but usc's bowl ban is over. and usc's been oversigning for 2 years under kiffin while going through the ncaa appeals process. the scholarship reduction didn't kick in until this year's class, which means usc this year has a window to make a run before they scholarships start catch up to them and barkley and woods and co. all go pro.

They play in a laughable division where they beat the division champ (snicker) by 50 points. They kinda kept Oregon out of national title contention. Not even Kiffycakes can Kiffin this one up, right?

with luck leaving stanford, there is no one else in the pac 12 right now capable of hanging with usc/oregon. maybe washington if their D improves cause keith price is a damn good QB (see alamo bowl), but that's it. usc and oregon should be 12-0 and 11-1 going into the pac 12 cg with the only loss coming during their regular season matchup. <div>
</div><div>both oregon and usc have pretty easy non-conference matchups. for once oregon isn't playing a big ooc game, and usc obviously has ND, but the other 2 ooc games are hawaii and syracuse.</div>

and USC will be very good next year. They were the best team in the PAC 12 THIS year and they have most of the pieces back next year. The scholarship banswill hurt the depth but the starting 22 are getting REALLY stout again. DISCLAIMER: I am a USC fan. As such I'm a bit of a homer for them but I'm not the only one who thinks they wil be good. I can see them playing for the title next year. I don't think, however, they will be able to beat a team of the caliber of this year's Alabama or LSU.

i don't know about the best team in the pac 12. they beat oregon by a FG in autzen, but as we saw last night, the tides can turn in a 2nd matchup after a 3 point W on the road in the regular season.

and to venture into bama/okie st comparison territory, oregon lost to lsu and usc, whereas usc lost to az st and stanford, 2 teams oregon destroyed.

reality, i'd say stanford, oregon, and usc were all 3 very close this year. though they started slow, usc might have been playing the best at the end of the season.

I should have added that 'at the end of the year" in there. That's what I meant to say.

they lose 2 OL, they've got a solid young QB and a commit from the #1 QB in the nation, and a stable of bad *** RB's.

Lost in this is that LSU's new OC, Steve Kragthorpe, was diagnosed with Parkinson's in August. He stepped aside as OC and went as QB coach only. Les is a good OC away from being a very solid team. The lack of offense wore down his incredible and deep defense, they played 41 snaps in the first half alone.
