With all the talk going on in Chicago among the various Conference Commissioners about changing the BCS Football National Championship format, the idea that seems to be currently the most popular is to go to a "Final Four" playoff format for the National Championship. The disagreement seems to be that some weaker conferences want to have the final four to be chosen from conference champions but the majority of conferences (including the SEC) want the final four to be chosen transparently by a committee and to consist of the best four teams in the nation, regardless of conference championships. <div>
</div><div>Obviously, the SEC favors the Best Four Teams idea since we (the SEC) would have a good chance of having about 3 of the 4 teams chosen. </div><div>
</div><div>That being the case (especially in light of our recent recruiting and the fact that those recruits will be a factor in the 2013 team), do you "buy" or "sell" the idea that by 2013 the Mississippi State will be one of the top four teams in the nation in 2013 even if it doesn't win (or even play in) the SEC Championship game? I'm not asking whether MSU will WIN the BCS National Championship, just that they will be in the Top 4 that play for it.</div><div>
