I know it sounds ludicrous at first thought, but if you think about it, he would have won a WS for a franchise that hadnt won one in 31 years, not to mention that he probably would have won the WS in 2001 for Arizona had he not been pushed to the side, plus he very well could have won for the Yankees in 96 had Torre not gotten that job. I know his college career has nothing to do with the hall as it does in basketball, but you put the whole package together and I think he should be in the conversation. I know Whitey Herzog went to 3 WS or so, but he only won the one didnt he?
