1) Everyone knows that it takes pitching to win in Omaha- Our bullpen is our strength; it's possibly the best in college baseball.
2) Whether you liked it or not during the regular season, our "punch and Judy" hitters play to our advantage at TD Ameritrade Park. In such a large park, those gaps will look huge to Henderson, Frazier, etc. Our team also has just enough power to make you respect us and play us straight up (see UVA game 1, Frazier and Renfroe's triples), especially Rea and Renfroe.
3) Speed Kills- This is one thing our team did against UVA that helped us win big time. The speed of our team on the basepaths, sans Rea, puts a lot of pressure on good defensive infields to make routine infield plays. Even really solid teams, like UVA, are forced into errors that they don't normally make.

We must hit, granted; but this pitching staff is a match up nightmare for opponents. We've got so many arms and can use them in damn near any situation, a testament to how Cohen and Butch have built this team.

I am still elated from the win yesterday. This team can go as far as it wants and I am so proud of the guys like Bracewell and Girodo that have overcome so much to get to this point.

I'm throwing frost into that crowd, too. He made a mistake that cost us 2 runs, but without his bat and his glove, we probably don't win yesterday.

Buy... ish. I don't know if we are "built" to win Omaha, but this team has shown that it can beat anyone in the country.

That said, I'm keeping my expectations low. It's all gravy from here.

Would love to buy, but I just feel like our highly sporadic starting pitching will catch up to us eventually. Hope I'm wrong...
