Simply for the reason that "face value" in no way represents what those tickets cost. The majority of our tickets have a face value of $34.26 which in no way is what that ticket actually costs. I consider BC donations to be a part of the cost of season tickets. Club level, chair backs, etc. require much more cash to buy than 15 yard line tickets where you can't even see the new jumbo-tron and they all have the same face value.

Ummmm....aren't these two parties with free choice in the transaction? I mean, I think it is a nice gesture and all to sell them for face value or even give them away. But, I don't think it is ****** to look for a profit. If someone takes the deal, I would think that means it was indeed not ******.

Im as libertarian as anyone, but just because the transaction is accepted doesnt mean the person doesnt feel slighted and therefore view the deal as ******. Deals are taken all the time that are viewed as ****** by both outsiders and one(or even both) of the involved parties.

I work in a business where i make negotiated deals about 20 times a day. I know damn well that many times the other side thinks the deal is ******, but they end up taking it because their options are limited or nil. And i end up feeling slighted often too, yet still take the deal since it is in my best interest to get over myself and take the deal even if i know im being taken.

This is not happening to me but was curious of everyone's thoughts.

I see you left the door open that it could be happening by you, just not TO you... Clever.

Oh, and SELL. It's still a free country, I think.

I used to go to a good number of away football games, and most of the time even though I had a ticket I would get offered free tickets from the rich guys in the big RVs as I would walk around. Most of the time they would offer food too. Sadly that generation of fan is being replaced by money grubbing right wing wackos like porkchop. I guess the only hope is that once you get old you will stop being a dick.

the added satisfaction of knowing that your seats will be filled w/ MSU fans and not some douchebags from UT or Bama and you don't risk pissing off the folks that sit near you the rest of the year. That should be worth forgoing the profit. However, I think its perfectly reasonable to factor in a pro-rata share of the donation you made to be able to get season tickets in the first place. And like Kissinger mentioned, its against the law in Mississippi to scalp them.

and will get at least that for Florida. I dont feel like giving a State person on the board a deal for 80 or so is doing anything wrong. I actually think that makes me a nice guy.</p>

And I give away tickets to every game. And with the exception of the OM game and this game, I generally don't give them to communists like you. However, I just don't see the problem of someone making a profit selling a ticket on a message board. Hell, it's their ticket. They can do as they please with it. Doing what you want with your own property doesn't make you ******. And I just prefer not to tell people what they should and shouldn't do with their property -- none of my damned business. Or yours.

And I am already old.

Why should message boarders get a break when they don't have season tickets? The break you are giving is actually giving the message boarder the first chance at purchasing before putting it on the open market.
