If Bill Bellichek was 2-6 this year and made that call, he would have been fired today.

Addendum: I just now realized he made the call from his own 28. I had fallen asleep before the Colts comeback.

Huge Buy if the Pats had struggled for the past few years. Well they did a little last year without Brady but that is excusable. But the man still has a lot of rings on the fingers.

but I take the 6 everytime. You never know what is going to happen on the next play.

if you punt that ball to them they get the ball with one timeout and roughly less than 2 minutes. No way in hell that secondary for the Pats stops Manning from marching down the field in that situation. They convert the 4th down they win and everyone is talking about how smart of a play it is, and saying "well that's Bellichek for ya". If you want to choose a stupid decision give it the secondary player that instead of just giving up the TD to Addai he tackles him at inside the one with more than a minute to go. Again I know I am in the minority on this, but I didn't have a problem with it.

he'd be fired. And he had a good reason behind it. The Jags weren't winning the game. I think it was a stupid call. Yeah the percentage of good field goals from that distance is near perfect, but there are such things as a blocked kick, muffed snap/hold (Romo style), or a missed kick. I'm with you DS, you never ever ever take 6 off the board especially when you're down. And no this doesn't compare to what Westbrook did a couple years ago, the Eagles were winning the game.

If it was tied or if Jacksonville was leading by two then it was a good play. Bad snap or blocked kick and who gives a **** if you run the clock down. Score the td there.

If you don't get it, you are giving up 40 yds of field position. And they had to have a TD. What's more difficult? A TD drive for 30 yds or a TD drive for 70? Just a stupid call.

you also take away the run. So not only do they have to go farther, they have to pass the entire time. And Manning had been throwing ducks the second half.

This is not even debatable.

if you score the 6, you are 100% in the lead. If you take a knee, you are 100% behind. I like the lead.
