Derek Dooley is an *** for not releasing Bryce Brown's scholarship to more than likely, Kansas State.

Bryce Brown was a problem child from the day Dooley took the job (actually long before then, he just wasn't Dooley's problem then). So screw him. Dooley did release 2 other players with full releases and 1 other player with a conditional release. Maybe if Brown had gone through spring practice he might have gotten the release he now wants.

Dooley's stand is not gonna win him brownie points in recruiting, but it's reasonable considering the way Brown handled this situation.<div>
</div><div>Reality is that this kid was not going to contribute this year anyway, was going to take up a scholarship, and obviously was not into the Team Ethic. Release him and you lose nothing much. It might even help in recruiting.</div>

He's making a stake to return his program back to what it was before Kiffin. Brown and his "management team" are mercenaries. There's absolutely no reason for him to leave anyway.

that if a guy wants to transfer - let him go.

Mack Brown talked about this on the radio on The Herd. He said he has always granted a release when someone wants to transfer.

to set a real headache of a precedent. Hell if wholesale releases are available then recruiting would continue through kids` sophmore years. Example: Hey kid if you`re unhappy at State U. we still got that Sclade with your name on it. Just make old numb nuts(fill in you coach`s name) release you to play right awaylike he did Drevonte or threaten him with a lawsuit if hewon`t.

If they want a release make em set out a year.

It seems like Dooley said that if Brown will just go talk to him like a man he'll probably release him.<div>
</div><div>This is the same guy who was going to skip college and play in the CFL. He's got a large ego and I applaud Dooley for letting him know he's not the **** yet. He's a great talent, he needs to be a man before he's a football player. I hope he's not the second coming of Adam "Pac Man" Jones.</div>
