I was worried when Day entered the game. I was pleasantly surprised at how well we ran the ball up the middle after he came in. Nice snaps and good blocking as far as I can tell.

1. Ballard ran at will up the middle once Day was in the ballgame. Don't know if this was because AU finally wore down or because Day was whipping his guy up front? Regardless, Day didn't hurt us.
2. Blocking was horrible from our guards. Several instances the TV replaysshowed missed blocks (also by Green.....was he stoned?) by our guards that allowed AU guys toget cleanhits on28 and 27.
3. Snaps from Day seemed solid and easily handled by Relf, that was not always the case earlier in the ballgame.
4. I worry about the opposition scoutingour Center's hand movements and timing the snap. Both Day and Saulsberry had some odd hand motion like they were pointing at a defender or something and right as they lower their hand, they snapped it every time.
5. Hope like hell Carmon is not hurt too badly. He was playing really well prior to his injury. Didn't think he would be that good, but he was.
6.Picked Day as something in "my boy" either Freshman standout or breakout newcomer on offense. I hope he doesn't disappoint.
7. That loss sucked; I worry a great deal about lack of talent at LB and inability to adjust mid-game from our D-coaches. Malzhan ate us up with that power run to the right. We just didn't adjust to stop it. Damn.</p>

i said this earlier, but didn't saulsberry play tackle at one point? if carmon is still out i would try him at tackle and keep the two guards in. i'd feel much better with that than having blaine 'im;a catch yo screen pass' clausell in there

I think Gabe and Tobias are great guards for us, so I think it would solidify the line more if we used Quienton at RT or LT.
