Lord no. Huge sell. Are we playing for the SEC championship? Because we have before. We could win this game and lose 6th straight, so no, it doesn't compare to the championship game.

You say buy, but then say it doesn't compare to the SECCG in 1998. I'm buying. This game has national championship implications for us and would move us to at least #2 in the polls if we win.

Sell, SECCG was more important. Anytime hardware is on the line, the stakes are pretty high.

Huge buy. In our situation, each subsequent game is bigger than the previous...

We are in play for a National Championship. If we are still undefeated when we play UT Martin, that game will be bigger than this one.

I will buy as the biggest on campus game ever.

It's because I can't 17ing spell. I meant sell. While the game may have national title implications it won't matter if we lose the next 6 games after it. Until we play in the SECCG or better nothing will top it

Sell. 3rd biggest. Ranks behind 1941 Egg Bowl in Oxford and 1998 SECCG.
Definitely biggest on campus game in history though. By a mile.

We'll win at least 4 of the next 6 no matter what happens this weekend, so your "if we lose the next 6" argument is pretty ridiculous. If we win this weekend, we're a solid favorite to get a playoff spot. That's bigger than anything that's ever happened to MSU football.

One way to answer this is, would you have rather had that 1998 SECCG win or beat Auburn this Saturday? I'll take the latter only because it has a much higher ceiling (could lead to playoff birth).

Without a view into the future, the '98 SECCG. That was a guaranteed SEC title and Sugar Bowl berth. This Saturday is just to stay in the running for that same level of accolades.

This is a buy. If you win this game you can still afford to lose—11-1 will put MSU in the playoff, west or not.
