This was brought up in another thread, and maybe Im the only one, but I say sell.

Ronny thinks its crazy that I think a 240 lb Halfback that isn't quick, might not be a good fit for the spread offense.

Personally I think Dixon fits the power running game offense well, and has he showed in 2007, if given a decent OL he will put up good numbers. The kid is a good running back, I just personally don't think he fits the spread well.

Thoughts?

will utilize all of our players to the best of their abilities. So, I guess I'll buy. If we were running what Texas Tech runs, I would sell.

That said, AD really needs to lose about 10 pounds and learn how to turn the corner more quickly. If he doesn't, everyone in the stadium with half a brain is going to know that if we run it, it's going to be an inside run when he's in the game. And even then, he still needs to learn how to lower his head and run over people and use his size, which will still be a load at 230, assuming he drops the 10 pounds.

The other thing here is with Mullen's offense, we are going to be a lot more reliant on people like Delmon Robinson, Arceto Clark, Leon Berry- who might become one of my favorites simply because of his name- perhaps McRae if he can recover, as well as various freshman WR's like Chris Smith and hopefully Bumphis rather than hope that our undersized o-line can establish the run. Oh, and I think that we are going to rely a lot more on Tyson Lee to help us win games to.

You can make his skillset work in the spread. He isn't going to have 28 carries for 145 yards, but he can make plays.

If Mullen is a good coach, he will do what he needs to get guys like Dixon the ball in situations they can be successful in. If he is a bad coach who tries to force a system on his players, he will lose. No one knows the answer to any of this at this point. </p>

...you remind me of one those dumbasses who call into the morning sports shows so the Morning Zoo sports guys can reafirm reality is not welcomed in the typical world of the typical ignorant sheep (talking to the clown, OMlawdog):

Dumbass caller: "Heys guys, I realize after the 2007 Liberty Bowl Anothy Dixon is only the seventh Bulldog runner to go over 1,000 yards, but do you really think he will fit Dan Mullen's offense?"

Idiotic Morning Zoo sports guy: "You can forget all that "seventh Bulldog runner to go over 1,000 yards" crap when it comes to Anthony Dixon. Because though Dixon is one of the best RB's in MSU history, don't let that fool you into thinking he has the skill set to succeed in a Dan Mullen offense."

Dumbass caller: "Thanks guys, all that makes sense. Plus the fact Dixon is also one of the best recievers on the team...?"

Idiotic Morning Zoo sports guy: "You can forget that too. Being the seventh Bulldog runner to go over 1,000 yards plus being a very solid pass catcher will only get you benched in Dan Mullen's offense.

Dumbass caller: "Boy, Morning Zoo guy, it all makes sense to me now. Keep up the good work...."

Thanks for further representing the notion that this board is becoming GenesPage Redux. You get called out for your opinion on something, and call for a banning. You're not calling for a poster flaming every poster (Diamond), making continual dumbassed statements (Goat), or just generally 17'ing up the board....but instead because you get called out on your opinion, and that person happens to be an Ole Miss fan. Thanks, aGAIN, for perpetuating the stigma that this board now has, you stupid ****.

If you don't like the current construct of this board, then feel free to get the 17 off it.

The banning of Ole Miss grad was the best late Christmas present HD6 could ever give to this community.

Now if you & OMlawdog would just crawl back under those rocks whence you came, then maybe the level of discourse here can finally return to that of Miss. State people talking about Miss. State things.

You are a pest who offers nothing to this board.

The sooner you admit that to yourself, the better.

...other than I know what's coming when I see the power I with the QB under center ...or the shotgun with 5 wide.

Dixon has proven himself to have excellent hands. He picks up blocking schemes well. He can be a pretty tough guy to bring down in the open field.

Knowing that about him.... He might not be the next Percy Harvin, but he ain't no scrub either.

basically you can act like whatever fool you want on the Ole Miss board (even completely fabricating stuff) but maybe cool it off on the state board.

I would agree with him... so you guys feel free to continue discussing how bad State's talent is all over your board but don't come remind us of it continually. That's what gets frustrating..

When I point these things out to OMlawdog, he thinks I am being a MSU homer with no grasp of reality.

But maybe if you tell it to him, he will listen (though he is like this Vanillia Ice butthole: He's not here so much to listen to reason as he's here to stir the shat).

I don't get into the whole back and forth on here, but you are a Grade-A *****. You are perhaps the biggest sheep on this board, including Goat. That's why you get called out. Your opinions aren't opinions, they are red and blue propaganda.

The best posters on here are the ones that leave their school colored glasses at the door and come to discuss with an open mind. You are the opposite of that. A *****.

"If you don't like it, leave."

Nice.

What you missed, and what I was commenting on, was the fact that, in the past, it didn't matter on here what school you rooted for. You were banned or ridiculed for your opinion, and opinion only.

Over the last 2 years this board has turned from a place where posters could have discussion about sports to a board where you opinion is only tolerated if you are a State fan, and all others should be banned.

This board has gone to ****, which is why I rarely visit.

Its a sad day when information about MS recruits that are being recruited by MSU and Ole Miss, MSU coaches, etc. can't be brought to the board if it differs from what the group wants to hear.

I was right about Pat Patterson when I told you he wouldn't go to State.

I was right about Montez Phillips when I told you he wouldn't go to State.

I was right when I told you you had zero shot at getting Petersen.

I've been right on dozens of other occasions that the board told me I was dead wrong on.

So 17 you.

The guy decommitted, hardly a prediction

So you broke this one, huh Clark?

Wow, you really scooped that one, that one is so stupid I can't even think of a response but I'll try. I think other than a few optimists not many people thought there was more than an outside shot of that happening anyway.

Dozens? You probably haven't been right dozens of times on anything, let alone arguments on an MSU board.

And back to Patterson, it's a month before signing day you fraud. Don't count those chickens before they are even laid.

This is ridiculous,

I know I'm relatively new to the board but until recently this wasn't a problem.

Every single thread turns into bitching and arguments within 4-6 replies
