Buy/Sell Crooms 2008 Offense = Sherrill 2003 Defense

I am buying. The 03 Defense was basically pathetic due to players giving up and *** grabber confusing the **** out of the DBs. All teams had to do was throw it long and it was a TD. This offense is basically geared around running it up the gut with a Div II Oline and throwing 3 yard passes that are dropped at least half the time. Both were pathetic but at least the 03 Defense could be pointed to that they gave up when Jackie did.</p>

The 03 Defense is what people point to when they say Croom inherited a mess. Well, Croom fixed the defense by putting competent people over it and leaving them alone. After all, he is the head of this offense. He is too busy with the O to 17 up the defense.</p>

while sherrill's last team didnt really inspire the masses....their uninspired play (on the offensive side) still outshines the "inspired" play we see today:
