They will be the only two players left on next year's team that have ever played while Polk was the HC. (Brownlee and Pace redshirted in 2008, and some of the current sophomores were recruited by Polk.)<div>
</div><div>I'm buying. Seems like those two are always the ones taking third strikes anyway. Plus, with all the rumored clubhouse drama, it's time to just jettison the Polk leftovers. If anyone else has more loyalty to Polk than Cohen, send them packing too.</div>

Only because Freeman is a catcher and a senior catcher along with Thigpen may be useful for us. If I had to pick a player that has disappointed me the most overall as far as hitting, it's Freeman. He should be hitting at least .300. He may get there, but we'll see. We also have a JUCO catcher coming in in Brett Bozeman and we have Kolby Byrd who is RS, and I don't trust either of them at this point as much as I trust Cody.

I don't like Collins, and with Jaron, Brownlee- assuming he's healthy which is a big if, and we get Dickerson, we should be OK. I think CT Bradford could start if we lose Dickerson, Jaron, or if Brownlee can't start. We also have DeMarcus Henderson, Taylor Stark, Cody Abraham, and Brayden Jones that may be able to play some as freshmen, and we also have Trey Johnson, who has been a bust thus far. I also wouldn't be surprised if Vickerson plays some outfield next year, especially if Jarrod Parks or Daryl Norris can play third base better from a defensive standpoint, and we will need Vickerson's bat in the lineup next year.

Ryan Collins situation is just going to be dictated by who comes and how the freshmen adjust to the SEC.

to be recruited. He's never developed since his Freshman year. I've been puzzled for a while now as to why he's played as much as he has unless he's a practice hero who just can't carry it over to the games maybe. Freeman's done a decent job behind the plate though you rarely see him throw anyone out. Hitting is ok at times but not near the power hitter I thought he'd turn into. Also, you'd think for a guy who spent as much time right in front of the umpire all game long, he'd have a better idea of which pitches to take and which not to.

Because our outfield right now is basically Duffy, Jaron, and Adkins and Ryan is playing better than Trey Johnson. Although, that might be changing with Collins getting thrown out to end the game at second depending on whose fault that was. If Brownless is healthy, we would definately see Ryan Collins a lot less.
