I think it would take 1-2 more really bad years for him to not be the QB for the NY Giants. Their offense needs major retooling this off-season and I suspect their management will try to do some things to help him. He's had about as bad a year as they come but I thinks he's plenty safe for now.

Interesting question. I heard Ed Warner say after the last lockout ended that the new practice rules would hurt Tom Coughlin more than any other coach, because he used contact in practice more than any other coach in the NFL, and the new CBA really restricts the days you can hit now.

Coughlin will go, probably at the end of the season, before Eli.

He's not getting too much help from the offensive line. It's doubtful that his job is in jeopardy anytime soon. You have to remember that his name sells tickets.

When Eli is playing scared and throwing off his back foot he sucks.

That is all.

The thing I don't get is how this guy won two Super Bowls. And actually looked good in the games too.

Those DL were legit..

This. In the last 5 games of the year including playoffs in his last SB win their defense was a juggernaut. Not saying Eli didn't do anything to win, just simply putting it out there that the Giants live and die by defense and just hope the O gives them enough to keep them in it.

Eli's offensive line is horrible this season. He'll get a pass, but he'll definitely find his 3rd team before he retires. I was listening to the local ESPN radio station and they compared him to Forrest Gump. Said when they win big games he looks lost and doesn't seem the grasp the magnitude and when they lose he shrugs it off. Thought it was harsh but about right.

True enough, if you aren't playing with confidence and stepping into your throws

you are screwed, you forgot Romo*.
