Assuming that Croom pulls 2 more wins out of his cottage cheese, and Byrne is left with no other option than forcing McCorvey to the curb, the next OC will be a Byrne hire (meaning Croom will get almost no say-so). Because the ONLY way to get a competent OC is if Byrne can convince the man that Croom will be "Tommy Bowdened" next year and he will get to step in mid-season with a legit look at HC depending on results.

I say "Buy." How else could we get even a halfway decent OC at this point?

If this is a sell, then, in reality, it is a complete waste of time to keep Croom beyond Thanksgiving. If Croom hires the OC, it will be an incompetent fool looking for a one-year job, who will "yassah" to Croom's play-not-to-lose mentality.

what 2 games are we going to win. We just let a horrible UT team hang 20 on us in the fourth quarter.

I keep thinking about that 20 fourth quarter points & character & pride ?!??/

Byrne should not allow Woody to be a scapegoat for Croom`s ineptness but I`m very afraid that`s just what`s going to happen.

As much as I'd like to buy, I have to sell. The only way we get a competent OC is if we luck into one. This is nothing more than a short term position.

We all believe that croom is not going to be fired this year so just let croom keep digging his own hole with Woody and their lack of offense next year. I think the only way croom gets fired is either if nobody shows up for the game next week and we lose out which I still don't think will happen. I think it would be best for the program if Croom would just step down at the end of the season and omit that he has taken the program as far he can just like ole doc did ...heres to wishful thinking
