The talking heads on the wwl sure seem to think that could be the case, and I'm sure Brees would be all for bringing him in. I'm not up to speed on our cap room and am of the opinion that we need to focus on Defense.

There are several moves the Saints can make to free up the cap room to get LT. Especially with some of the secondary they have had in the past few seasons. That being said, I hope that getting LT does not prevent them from upgrades on the D side of the ball. Yea, they let Deuce go, but Pierre Thomas and Reggie can handle the running duties, in my opinion. They continue to bring in D Free Agents: DL Shaun Cody was there today, Darren Sharper and Gerals Sasenburgh (sp?) have been there as well, and they believe one of them will come. They have already signed Jabrai Greer.
I think it could be a great fit for both the saints and LT. He wouldn't have to run it every carry.
Thought somehow Byrne must be negotiating someone's contract and failing miserably and relatively, he's surmising Larry Templeton to be a saint for all his stellar work through the years.
for the Saints. I like the idea except for the fact that LT is so highly valued that he's likely to cost more than he's worth. I don't think there's any doubt that he would make the Saints offense better. He is a very special football player, as NFL fans know.
If it is feasible at all, Loomis will make it happen under the cap. If there is one thing that Loomis does very very well, operating under the cap.
LT might be past his prime but the Saints don't need LT in his prime. The Saints need someone to play the role of Deuce-2006 where the Saints had two RB's that created mismatches all over the field.
I didn't like the idea at first because I thought all efforts should be on defense. Some moves have been made on D... resign Vilma, sign Greer. but I think the biggest impact on D will be getting everyone back & healthy in players like McKinzie, Porter, Fujita, Thomas,....
